Recently, Fred and I had a date night at the recently remodeled AMC theatre at Easton Town Center. Our date was my first experience at a dine-in theatre and I was in heaven! Lush, leather, automatic reclining seats and a full dine-in service at the push of button made it a truly epic theatre experience for me. It had been a little while since I’d visited that theatre, so I couldn’t wait to check out all of the upgraded amenities. My fellow Ohioans, I’m telling ya it was a first class movie experience! You've got to see the remodel for yourself. I know all of you lovely readers aren’t local, but AMC is working on theatre remodels in a lot of different locations! Our entire movie process (start to finish) was stress-free. The hardest part was choosing which movie we wanted to see! I think Spider-Man is my favorite superhero and Fred pretty much likes all action films, so we decided on Spider-Man: Homecoming. I purchased our tickets online and reserved our seats. Online you can choose the theatre experience you want. There’s RealD 3D, IMAX, Digital, Dine-In, Dolby Cinema and more! Check out their site to purchase tickets and start your experience today! When we arrived at the theatre, there were polytouch kiosks and self-serve ticketing and concessions, complete with a Coke Freestyle machine. We didn’t have to wait at all! I had the confirmation email pulled up on my phone and I just had to show it to the cashier. Then we hit the concessions! My favorite movie snacks are Cookie Dough Bites and a cherry flavored ICEE, so we got them before the movie started. We chose the dine-in experience so we got to eat dinner during the movie! It was so fun to order in like that. Fred got loaded nachos and a caprese flatbread and I got the southwest style chicken tenders. Random, but mix the two sauces together if you get the chicken tenders. It makes a spicy ranch and it’s DELICIOUS. The portion sizes ended up being way bigger than we expected! (Score!) Guys, there were doughnuts on the menu! Fred thought for sure I was going to order them and I did want them, but I decided against them this time since I got candy! I’m definitely trying them next time though. I mean, what’s better than watching a movie and having someone bring you doughnuts?! Also, Fred thought about getting a cocktail at MacGuffins Bar because they have a pretty great variety of beverages!
Our theatre had big, plush, comfy recliner seats. I love being able to recline and relax during a movie. I felt so spoiled, watching Spider-Man, eating delicious food and all while being super cozy! It was a new take on a dinner and a movie date night for us. We like to go to the movies on weeknights, because it tends to be a lot less crowded than weekends.
